So I Finished Watching DEATH NOTE....
And there was this guy....

I got on the Death Note fandom boards,
And ran into rabid fangirl hordes,
Slashing every pairing that caught their eyes,
I kept seeing a name I didn't recognize.

Pretty-boy criminal hireling fellow,
He does dirty work for a guy named Mello,
He gets shot up by a million cops,
He's in the damn show, like, a minute, tops.

It's a walk-on part, but look what it did,
He's in more fics than that Malfoy kid,

she gave you two thumbs up for watching Death Note, she wanted to go as Misa for this upcoming Youmacon, but chose Sasuke from Naruto.

I got bored with Death Note after the first volume, but as a member of fandom in general I found this hysterical. It just goes to show that if you're pretty, it doesn't matter how insignificant you are. XD

I dropped Death Note before the 2nd half. However, I think - maybe - Matt showed up more in the manga than he did in the anime.

Thought so. Another example of where turning a manga into an anime has less than satisfactory results, plot-wise.

That's... the main part of its hilarity is that it's so true. Seriously, it took me weeks to work out who Matt was- and that was after getting through the whole series. I'm still not entirely sure why everyone loves him so much, though there have been a few psychological explanations that have been quite fun to read through.
