Oh.
My.
Freakin'.
God.

Why haven't I seen that one before?????

I still think I'd vote for the Swedish Chef making Lobster as funniest, though.

That one is good... however, even better:

( Muppet Hunter D )

Mahna Mahna AMV using Vampire Hunter D footage. Watch the lip synchronization. Hokey Smokes, Bullwinkle...

Remove the excess trailing quote ("), which may show up as %22 in the URL, depending on if you edit before or after pasting it.

usually, posting a session link is pointless, that's why Youtube gives those wonderful URL and Embed boxes.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0neAHeBc_Zc is "Muppet Show meets Vampire Hunter D"
There are also two other uploads of it.

Gotta admit, he hits the high note better than a lot of Irish tenors I've heard make the attempt.

Just for completeness sake, the "Danny Boy" sketch was from the British version of the episode starring the great Disneyland performer "Wally Boag".

FYI: The British cuts of "The Muppet Show" each had one extra bit in them, which was cut for the North American market. If you get the Season 1 DVD you can see them restored.. now of they every get off their asses and get the rest of the seasons out!

The odd thing is, I know I saw that one on U.S. television once, as part of a Muppets television special. I had to ask my mother to explain why they were pulling out the handkerchiefs.

Season 2 is being worked on. They are taking their time to do it right from what I recall seeing on hte net. I know I saw something about a season 2 set being due sometime in 2007.

Having the Swedish Chef, Animal and Beeker do the song has a great advantage for the kid audience. They get to miss all the death imagery in that song.

It would be interesting for them to do the song "D.O.A." As a polka.

There was a Muppet CD-ROM that had a whole bunch of Leprechaun Brothers numbers on it - all just as good as this one.

This bit is particularly entertaining to me, since I have a habit of going around singing popular songs and other music in gibberish. (I have a version of the Hallelujah chorus that I've been refining for several years.)

Bookmarked with extreme prejudice.
