Guy Fawkes Day.

I could, and possibly should, launch into a lengthy, impassioned plea for some kind of a plan to take back our country from the monsters running it... but I'm just not feeling up to it this morning. Maybe later this week. So, let's go for the cheap and easy: What are your favorite, and least favorite, live-action movies based on specific comic books? (So that The Incredibles, Batman: The Animated Series and Justice League don't just win it all in a walk.)

Among my faves would be:

• 300
• Batman Begins
• Hellboy
• The Mask
• Men In Black
• Sin City
• the first Christopher Reeve Superman
• X2

Among my least favorite, you can count the unspeakably dull Superman Returns and any part of the recent Fantastic Four films where "Dr. Doom" is onscreen. Haven't finished watching Ghost Rider yet, and that may end up on the naughty list.
