I watched it twice, which I rarely do with trailers. So far, I'm impressed.

Less angst, more action, more Rhodie. Let's do this!

*shrieking incoherency* (And Pepper had BETTER be in one of those damn suits at the end.)

How much training does it take to use that suit? I'm concerned that if she does get one it will be used as a gag and all we'll see of her is her tumbling around incoherently shooting blasts in random directions.

Well in the comics IIRC the suits were neuro-linked so most of the basic functions were autonomic so to speak and the rest were a little mental control. And Pepper has that when she needs it. That said the move-with-the-body functionality can be accomplished using simple pressure sensors ala the Starship Troopers (book not movie) suits where your body moved, that pushed/activated sensors, and the suit moved with you to get out of the way. So to speak. :-)

I can't speak to the amount of training needed, but there is canonical precedent for both a woman as part of the Iron Legion and Pepper having her own suit. (The fact that those are in separate continuities strikes me as somewhat orthogonal here.) Since Bethany Cabe doesn't exist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it's not unreasonable to put Pepper into that slot.

When is it coming out?

loriruadh: May 3rd IIRC

Most of the teaser stuff has really bothered me -- especially the "falling/falling apart suit" bit.

The first couple trailers seemed depressing but this one holds out hope for some positive outcomes...
