Less Than 3 Hours To Go For The Larry Elmore Kickstarter

If all you gaming geeks and art collectors want a bad-ass hardcover collection of the art of Larry Elmore, you have less than three hours to kick in. Stretch goals have already expanded the package quite a lot (the basic $49 Fan Package now includes the 336-page hardcover book [up from the original 256], a 64-page softcover sketchbook, six 8x10" prints of Larry's D&D and Dragonlance box covers, and a ticket for a motorcycle ride with him down in Kentucky), so it's a hell of a deal.

Holy Crap, I have loved his artwork for years. Added to kickstarter for sure. Thanks for the signal boost or I would have missed this.

Thanks for the signal boost! Too often I find out about about these great projects AFTER they've ended. It's good to be able to get in on one before it's over. I love his artwork. I even based a superhero character off one of his pieces (dimensional traveling swordswoman with a load of magical items).

ETA Where do you hear about these cool kickstarter campaigns? I don't usually check the site unless I know about one, usually from you or someone posts here.

Well, I check KS for new stuff about once a week, and various other sources (friends, pages such as Bleeding Cool or IO9 or the Daily Illuminator, various mailing lists) tell me about the others. I find it a good practice at this point to check KS at least once a week, especially in the Comics, Music, and Games categories, and often Film & Video and Technology. Also, their front page notes what's popular, and KS has their own mailing list to let you know what they like this week.
