Peter David Has Suffered A Stroke

Not good, not good at all. Writer Peter David has suffered a stroke:
We were on vacation in Florida when I lost control of the right side of my body. I cannot see properly and I cannot move my right arm or leg. We are currently getting the extent of the damage sorted out and will report as further details become clarified.
Many good thoughts sent out to Mr. David and his family, and may he recover quickly and completely.

ugh! I hope he is better ASAP. He is a nice guy. (I have met him a number of times over the years at I-CON (NY).)

Hoping for the best. I have known a few stroke victims to recover quite a bit after such an episode. There is hope for him

oh dear oh dear oh dear! Here's hoping for a good recovery!

I met him last year at Far Point; sold him a dragon for his daughter. I admit to being a little starstruck, I agreed to a cash/barter for a book deal, which I normally never do.

His daughter came to my table at another convention (Balticon? Shore Leave?) later in the year and told me how much she loves her dragon. *G*

I remember reading some of his books. I hope he gets better and doesn't let this get him down.

Aw geez. That's no good at all.

Peter is a great guy, and was even relatively non-plused when friends of mine kidnapped his teenage daughter as a prank (she was complicit, they went out for ice cream and issued comic demands back to her father who was a guest at I-con).
