My Dragon*Con Schedule

  • Fri 1:00 p.m. What Is Filk? - Baker room (Hyatt)
  • Fri 8:30 p.m. Performance - Atlanta Ballroom (Westin)
  • Sat 8:30 p.m. Performance - Augusta 1-2 (Westin)
  • Sun 6:30 p.m. Performance - Concourse (Hyatt)
  • Sun 10:00 p.m. Performance - International South (Hyatt)
Okay, this part's important: I'm still listed as being on Instafilk panels both Saturday and Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. in the Hyatt. I will not be at them. (I also may not be at the one this afternoon, but we'll see.) Given how I now have to schlep between three different hotels, I'd be exhausted, and I wouldn't have any time at my table (which is somewhere on the Marquis level of the Marriott, I'll find out exactly where later this morning).

Tonight's show will be a sing-along. I do not know if lyrics will be provided, but I've got a little list, I've got a little list.

Sunday's show will be a two-and-a-half-hour tag-team event with Marc Gunn. Should be muchly good silly, with a few surprises.

Please please please tell us about the "What Is Filk" panel. If I was going to Dragon*Con I would attend this. There was a panel about filk at Musecon which was interesting too (since I wanted to do a filk podcast I figure this is a place to learn).

Have a great time!

Have a wonderful time; wish I could be there.

And THANKS, now I have Gilbert and Sullivan in my head. Eh, could be worse, I suppose. ::runs off humming "never will be missed..."::

Have a wonderful time. Sell lots of CDs. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell people about GaFilk this January.

Unfortunately, you won't see me. I'm heading to Ringgold, Georgia for men in kilts and women in kilts and some haggis and Celtic music.

alverant: OT Chamabanacon

Has anyone been to Chamabanacon? I'm thinking about it this year. The only problem is that it's right after Thanksgiving so I'd have to leave from my parent's house in the Quad Cities, drive 3 hours to Urbana on Friday then drive back 3 hours to my home in Chicagoland on Sunday. Plus it's 2 weeks after Windycon and it may be too much too soon. I'm trying to expand my horizons and this seems like a good bet.

jenniferj323: Speaking of singing...

Hope Dragon*Con was fantastic. It's on my bucket list to go one of these years.

Completely unrelated: I was hoping to inquire about a SmithSong as a present for my husband's 30th birthday. I can be reached either through here (I think) or at jennifer (dot) steinhurst (at) gmail (dot) com. Thanks in advance!

(Sorry to bug you through here... I've tried emailing and twitter with no answer. This was my only hope.)
