Mon, May. 7th, 2012, 09:36 am GAME OF THRONES/LEGEND OF KORRA/ONCE UPON A TIME Spoiler Thread
- I'll be watching GoT tonight.
- Korra, on Saturday, was frickin' amazing -- if The Avengers hadn't been so perfect, I'd be going on and on about it. This episode was pretty much all (a) sports and (b) relationships, and it was note-perfect, top to bottom, upending every cliche and moving the show along beautifully.
- And I still have to catch up with OUAT, but I hope to do that by Memorial Day Weekend.
Your thoughts on my Big Three? And what are you watching? This entry was originally posted at http://filkertom.dreamwidth.org/1516006.html. You may comment there or here, although LJ tends to have a livelier conversation at this time.

I really like what they're doing with the bending sport. Well done!

GoT: I think I need to start a score board for everytime someone bitch-slaps Joffery, cause it makes me happy. This week had many of our main characters hitting a case of the stupids, though... This must not become a trend. Korra: Moving along nicely indeed. Sabrina can't wait for Mr Smugass Cumupence from the champion team to get his.

Two of three. Don't watch Korra, but I need to, apparently. Also, Grimm...I love Monroe. I agree about The Avengers.

Just making sure: Have you seen the animated Avatar: The Last Airbender yet? Because you really should see that first. (The M. Night ShameOnYou flick The Last Airbender should only be seen with its Rifftrax.)

Damn, I missed that they'd started actually running Korra, I have to get caught up on those.

Lots. I don't think we have the Korra thing, but we have the other two. GoT I like mainly for the opening credits and theme. OUAT may start to get good once it's finished the exposition and started on the plot, but five or six episodes in we're still on "this is how it is" and frankly Rumpelstiltskin is a little wearing. I'd rather see Robert Carlyle playing Tom Bombadil if he wants to do quirky fantasy. Other than that: Secret Circle, Grimm, Murdoch, Touch, Alcatraz, Castle, Fringe, Ringer, Glee, House, Lost Girl, Alphas, The Mentalist, Dexter, True Blood (go Aunt Petunia!), Bones, and soon Eureka as well. Who says there's never anything on telly?

Not touching Once Upon a time for now. Enjoying Game of Thrones just a bit more than the purists spluttering, "but that wasn't in the book". Korra is awesome, based on the first two episodes they allowed online legitimately, and I am looking forward to seeing the rest when Nick UK get around to showing it. In other slots I'm alternating between Revolutionary Girl Utena (Jungian deconstruction of everything, including itself) which I now have all of on DVD, and Bodacious Space Pirates (space opera with genki girls) thanks to a 30-day freebie offer from Crunchyroll.
